WALT: Apply Striking and Fielding activities in a range of sports and activities.

My Strengths

The striking strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were…….Play through the shot - follow through. Wide base/ Good stance Stand side on. Firm and correct grip on whatever you are batting with. Stronger hand lower down on bat.

The throwing and catching strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were…….Cup your hands or reverse cup as early as possible. Cup your hands or reverse cup as early as possible. Look at where you are aiming to throw the ball. Point to where you want the ball to go. Step forward with opposite foot to arm that you are throwing with. Stand side on. Rotate shoulders. Follow through.

My Next Steps

To improve my striking of a ball I need to…………….because……………
Keep my eye on the ball because I don't hit it where I want to sometimes.

To Improve my catching and fielding I need to………...because…………..
Have soft hands for catching because sometimes the ball falls out

The game that I enjoyed the most was…………..because……………….Rounders because It was fun and we learnt a lot In the game.

The year 8s were doing gardening whilst the year 7s were on camp we had to pull weeds out and pull corn out of the maize maze. Then we went down to the little kids part
of the school and helped them with there learning. They are learning about healthy eating and counting to 20 i found it a little boring to be honest. We also had to do some fun games duck duck goose and skipping on the count, (not with a skipping rope) so we were skipping on the spot fun... We also had to teach them how to write words they didn't know like grass and monkey etc etc. And we have been doing this for two days now and tomorrow is our last day.
